2025 Season Update: A New Chapter at NC Whitetail Guide & Supply

As we close the books on another year, we couldn’t be more excited about what’s on the horizon. This past season was a milestone for NC Whitetail Guide & Supply. We have officially secured the final leases in our expansion plan, bringing our total managed land to 1,000 prime acres right here in Nash County.

The "Hidden 300"

The highlight of this expansion is a specific 300-acre tract that has not been hunted in over 30 years. After a full season of observation and scouting, the potential of this "sanctuary" land is incredible. We’ve seen signs of mature bucks that haven't faced hunting pressure in decades, and we are dedicated to managing this land to reach its full potential.

Investing in the Habitat

Our goal isn't just to provide a place to hunt; it’s to cultivate the healthiest deer herd in North Carolina. Based on our observations this past season, we have a busy winter and spring ahead with several major land improvements:

• Controlled Burns (100 Acres): We are implementing prescribed burns to clear out old growth and floor debris. This will kickstart the growth of high-protein native forages that deer crave.

• Timber Thinning (60 Acres): By thinning specific sections, we’re opening the canopy to allow sunlight to reach the forest floor, encouraging the "early successional" habitat that provides both bedding and food.

• Mineral & Supplement Programs: We are doubling down on our supply side to ensure the herd has the nutrients needed for maximum antler growth during the spring and summer.

Looking Ahead to Fall 2026

To ensure the long-term health of our herd, we will be offering limited, strategic hunts this fall. These will be focused on culling less-than-optimal deer to balance the population and improve the overall genetics of our resident whitetails.

These slots will be highly limited to keep pressure low on our new acreage. If you’re looking for a managed hunt that prioritizes quality over quantity, now is the time to get on our radar.
